- When it comes to my business and my exit strategy it all depends on the market. If the market crashes like it did in 08 people will not want to spend extra money on solar energy so I would sell in 5 years. But my ideal exit strategy would be to one day leave my business to my kids. I think that the economy is moving in the right direction and that there is an opportunity to make a lot of money. If I invest that money right then I believe that my exit strategy can come to life and I can hand the business down to my children one day.
- The reason why I chose this particular business strategy is because I think it would be awesome to teach my kids about a certain field or niche and have them become experts in it and continue to help the world by assisting people with renewable energy.
- Yes I believe it has influenced me. I believe that my personal beliefs made me lean to this exit strategy.

I think your end goal should be to become the CEO of your company. I think your company conforms well with the sustainable practices seen worldwide and the market for items such as yours is only going to expand as more and more companies/people are interested. Teaching your kids of the importance of renewable energy is something that we all need to do one day and you would have the prime way to pontetnailgy make some money off of it. Eventually though, one of the big solar panel manufacturers would want to buy your company from you and incorporate it into their companies and that would be hard to deny.
ReplyDeleteHey Clayton,
ReplyDeleteIt is very likely that, within the next few years, there will be a recession. Maybe not as great as it was in 2008, but with the largest economic boom in history and the fact that it has not been downward sloping since the recession in 2008, general history says that it will likely occur sometime soon. I am interested to see how the near future will pan out and how you will do! I wish you the best of luck!
Great post, Clayton. It's really cool to see that you value giving your business to your children in the future. I really hope that solar panel industry continues to do well in the future so that way your dreams do come true. It's also ensuring to see that you stick to your values to the point where it affects your course assignments!
ReplyDeleteHey Clayton,
ReplyDeleteI think your standpoint on continuing to be very interesting. I never thought about ending my business in case we hit another financial crisis because I looked at my product as an international brand not just local or national within the USA. I think with mine it could work and thrive in any market, its not so specific to the country more as more specific to the person interested in having their needs fulfilled.
