- I failed in this class one time because I read the instructions wrong for an assignment. It was the pitch two video. Instead of applying the feedback from the first video, I thought we were supposed to make a video talking about what we can do better next time on our pitch based on the comments we received.
- What I learned from this was to take my time and make sure to read the instructions clearly and if I have any questions about an assignment to ask them.
- My personal belief on failure is that you must experience it to be successful. This class has just solidified my belief when it comes to failure. We as entrepreneurs will most likely experience some kind of failure. It just depends on how we react to failure. Yes I will continue to make risk just now I have more tools to make better judgements on the risk from this class.

Hello Clayton,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that a person must experience failure in order to be successful. Also, you were able to overcome your failure and not make the same mistake. Not many people can easily reflect on their failures and learn from it, however you were able to do it. I wish you the best with any future risks you will take!
Honestly, your failure on speech too is kind of a achievement. That is essentially putting more work into your assignment than need be. The one downfall is to you specifically, that you spent more of your time than you needed. Reading instructions clearly is one of the necessities of life. I agree on your statement that failing is one of the key parts of success. If you don't fail, then you don't know your true standpoint in something or you don't know what you don't know.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI remember watching your Pitch Two video, it was very funny and an honest mistake! We all make mistakes but all that matters is how we are able to overcome those mistakes and become a better person. Now, I can guarantee you that you will read the instructions very meticulously, at least for this class! Great job!
Great post, Clayton. I remember your second elevator pitch video and thinking that was an honest mistake. I do agree with you that most people will experience failure and it is an effective tool for an entrepreneur in the beginning. Experiencing failure allows us to learn from our mistakes as well as train ourselves to stay confident and keep moving forward.
ReplyDeleteHey Clayton,
ReplyDeleteLike you I have been in the situation where I didn't pay attention to what I was supposed to be doing and like you it has also made my grade suffer. I think its important to really pay attention to the details and explanations our professors give us in a lesson, assignment or exam. Or else our grade will suffer severely.
