8A-Solving the Problem

As previously discussed in other blogs I strongly believe that there is an opportunity in the renewable energy sector. As stated before as technology continues to advance it makes the chances of being self sustainable in renewable energy very possible. The product I personally believe that shows an opportunity in the future is solar panels. The way I see us being able to solve this problem so we can take advantage of the opportunity is through federal grants. If we can convince the government, even state government to invest in solar panels then the company who installs those panels can take advantage of that opportunity. So the solution for this problem would too start a petition and end up getting it put on the state senate floor so it could be voted on. The petition would contain that all government buildings in the state of Florida be fixed with at least 4 solar panels. So at the bare minimum you at least get the opportunity to install on government buildings. The public will continue to come around when they see more solar panels.

  1. Hey Clayton,

I really liked reading your post and really am fond of your idea to get the government to invest in renewable energy. How possible do you think this idea is? Besides that, I have also given this some thought, not too much, and I just wish there was a company that sold and installed solar panels at a cheaper price, maybe by community.

  2. It might be worthwhile to think of how to incorporate solar panels into everyday home objects or conversely, target a certain market to help with the funding. If you focus on catering to restaurants or supermarkets or factories and create good incentives for them to back your ideas, then you can work together with them to secure funding and support from people in the government.

  3. Great post, Clayton. I like the solution to your opportunity because its a great way for people to save money on better energy in the future. The only downside to your proposed solution is that many things are hard to get government approval, especially when it requires hefty investing. Another route such as convincing traditional homeowners or homeowner's associations could also be effective in getting more solar panels on homes.
